After practicing many sports (rugby, boxing, and mountain biking), it was during lockdown that Julien discovered his true passion: running.

He began by exploring the wooded areas of his region (Esneux) and discovered the joys of running in nature.
After two years of practice, the idea of a real challenge emerged. He wondered how far his body and mind could take him.

He decided to set himself an ambitious goal: the marathon (42.195 km).

Was it possible to go from occasional trail running to this legendary event by training properly? He was convinced it was.

It was during his trip to Canada that he signed up for his first marathon: Vancouver.

The 12-week preparation to achieve his goals (finish the race with a smile—and ideally in less than 3 hours and 30 minutes) is a resounding success.

The battle against himself during the effort and the pleasure (endorphins) of achieving his goal push Julien to increase his training load and set new goals.
A second (Amsterdam - 3:05), then a third marathon (Utrecht - 3:00:56) as well as numerous nature runs made Julien a hybrid runner who felt just as comfortable running downhill among tree roots as he did on a track.

For Julien, running is a combination of his passions: pushing himself to the limit, adventure, preparation, and above all, the atmosphere before and after the race.

He joined the TRAKKS team in September 2025 so that he could share his love of running, trail running, and adventure.
